It is no secret that Linus Omark will leave the KHL at the end of the current season. In fact, at the end of 2019, Blick wrote that the Swede was in talks with clubs from the SHL and the National League. It is not clear yet though, if the forward will really suit up for Genève-Servette HC next season, as he has not confirmed the rumor to Aftonbladet. On the other hand, the 32-year-old has confirmed that, at least for the moment, he will not return to Luleå to play for his formative club.

For the next season, the Grenats have three import-players under contract: defenseman Henrik Tömmernes ((SWE)), and forwards Tommy Wingels ((USA)) and Daniel Winnik ((CAN)). For his part, Erik Fehr ((CAN)) has a contract valid only until the end of the current season.

Omark suited up for EV Zug during the 2012-13 season, recording 19 goals and 56 assists in 60 games for them. Before and after his year in Switzerland, he played in North America, as well as in the KHL and the SHL.
