Jake Virtanen missed the last two games of EHC Visp. According to the Walliser Bote, the player is not injured but was internally suspended for his code of conduct.
Virtanen was supposedly not willing to follow the training exercises set up by Marco Schüpbach and he was also not willing to be a team player, which in the end led to his suspension, according to the same source.
Virtanen has a year left on his contract with the Swiss League team. But if the information provided by the Walliser Bote turns out to be the truth, he might leave earlier. As per their research, Virtanen has been offered to other teams, among them the Fishtown Pinguins.
