Citing Canadian sources, Dino Kessler (Blick) reports that Reto Berra has supposedly signed a five-year contract with HC Fribourg-Gottéron.

Berra's agent André Rufener had confirmed to La Liberté yesterday that his client has made a decision regarding his future, but did not reveal the club the netminder will be playing for in the upcoming season.

Lausanne HC and HC Fribourg-Gottéron both have shown their interest in the 30-year-old goalie, but it now seems like the Dragons might have extended the winning offer to Berra. However, Christian Dubé told La Liberté only this morning that they will not make any announcement regarding signings for the upcoming season before the end of the current season.

It thus might take a while until we will know for sure, who the Swiss international will play for after this summer. This term thus far, the netminder has posted a 0.908 save percentage in 26 games for the Florida Panthers' AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.
