Spengler Cup

Dion Knelsen will join Team Canada for the prestigious tournament. Martin Ness, on the other hand, will play for the Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers.

Ness is no stranger to DEL teams, though he did not suit up for Nürnberg, but for the Krefeld Pinguine during his stint in the DEL. In 25 games for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers this season, he has recorded four goals and three assists.

It will not be the first time Dion Knelsen will wear the maple leaf on his chest in his career, but it will be the first time as a professional hockey player. The last time the forward played for his native country was back in the 2006-07 season when he suited up for them in the U18 World Championships.
