The SIHF have announced Cody Almond's decision to retire from the Swiss national team to focus on his club career. He is currently in his seventh season with Genève-Servette HC. The 29-year-old was part of two World Championship-teams (2016 and 2017) and also took part in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

"The decision was not easy to make. However, after careful consideration, I have decided to listen to my body and retire from the national team", Almond comments on his decision.
