After seven years as both head and assistant with various Swiss junior national teams as well as with the Swiss men's national team, Thierry Paterlini will not return behind the bench for the SIHF next season.
As Lars Weibel tells MySports, they came to this decision because they want their focus to be on the permeability from the U20 level, the Prospect Games and the men's national team: "We see even more potential there in the future." As for Paterlini's successor, they have only started with the search but hope to hire another Swiss coach who will continue their "Swissness"-line.
Paterlini's most recent tournament was the U20 World Championship in December and January. With him as head coach, Switzerland made it to the quarterfinal.
