At the moment, however, Hischier is playing for Switzerland's U18 national team at the World Championship in Slovakia. Consequently, head coach Patrick Fischer does not want to disclose anything. He will announce his new roster on Saturday, as the same source writes.

This past season, the 18-year-old forward appeared in 63 games for the Halifax Mooseheads, scoring 41 goals and 52 assists. In addition, Hischier won the QMJHL's Rookie of the Year Award, the Michael Bossy Trophy (Best Professional Prospect), and the Michel Bergeron Trophy (Offensive Rookie of the Year).
