The Shawinigan Cataractes, a team from a town in the north-east of Québec's capital city Montréal, confirm on their Twitter account that the 17-year-old will definitely suit up in the QMJHL in the upcoming season. Nussbaumer will be the first player in the Cataractes' history to wear number 65. He is set to join his new team on August 13.
Nussbaumer is not the first Swiss youngster who has decided to try his luck in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) next season. Only days ago, the confirmation arrived that HCD's Nando Eggenberger will join the OHL's Oshawa Generals. Also EV Zug's Dean Schwenninger will move to the WHL and suit up for the Portland Winterhawks next season and HCFG's David Aebischer will be part of the QMJHL's Gatineau Olympiques.
