Burri has signed a so-called Standard Player Agreement with the OHL's Barrie Colts. The defenseman spent most of his junior time in Switzerland, most recently with HC Davos. His original youth team, however, is the Palm Beach Hawks, a club based in Lake Worth, Florida.
"David is a great addition to our defence. He has played for Switzerland U17 and U18 teams. He is a big defender who is a great skater. Born in Florida, he is used to smaller rinks. We are very excited with our free agent signing", the Colts' head coach Marty Williamson comments.
