Théo Rochette and his Quebec Remparts beat Attilio Biasca’s HalifaxMooseheads in six games in the playoff final series of the QMJHL championship. Rochette, captain of the team, contributed to the conquest of the trophy with 127 points in 83 games. Rochette signed a two-year contract with Lausanne HC last summer, but opted to stay one last season with the Quebec Remparts.

Brian Zanetti, for his part, won the OHL championship with the Peterborough Petes defeating the London Knights in the final series. The future defender of the SCL Tigers recorded 19 points in 70 games this season. Also a member of the Petes is Brennan Othmann. The former forward of EHC Olten has a Swiss passport but so far has played with the Canadian junior national teams internationally.

Rochette and Zanetti will now compete against each other in the Memorial Cup (an end-of-season tournament featuring the winners of the three CHL member leagues and a host team). This year, the Memorial Cup will be held in Kamloops from May 25 to June 4.
