At the meeting of the Ticino's Cantonal council yesterday, new measures were introduced, a part of them in regards to large sporting events. There will be no more standing areas, people will only be allowed to occupy seats. In addition, the allowed attendance is reduced to two-thirds of a location's maximum capacity. Food and drinks will only be consumed in catering facilities.
These new steps have been taken to limit the spread of the Omnicron-variant. They will be in effect until January 16.
The national measures, with "2G" plus wearing a mask, are also still in place.
