After years of absence due to their stints overseas in the NHL, Genève-Servette HC's defenseman Sami Vatanen, 30, and forward Valtteri Filppula, 37, will suit up for the "Leijonat" again. Also forwards Harri Pesonen (SCL Tigers) and Toni Rajala (EHC Biel) are going to represent their country.
The Karjala Cup is going to take place from November 10 to 14 in the Finnish capital city Helsinki. Host Finland will face Russia (on November 11), Czechia (Nov. 13), and Sweden (Nov. 14).
