According to Le Matin, Genève-Servette HC's youngster Noah Rod will fly to San Jose this weekend to finish the 2016-17 season with the Sharks' AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda.

The 20-year-old forward, who was selected as 53rd overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 2014 NHL Entry draft, made his National League A debut during the 2013-14 season. Since then, Rod has suited up in 167 games with Genève-Servette HC, scoring 19 goals and 29 assists.

In July last summer, the native of La Chaux-de-Fonds participated in the San Jose Sharks' development camp, together with his compatriot Timo Meier. He is expected to take part also in this year's camp, prior to the start of the new NLA season in September.
