Sjögren joined the ZSC Lions on a two-year deal from KHL's Ak Bars Kazan in 2016 and managed to put up eight goals and 21 assists in a total of 63 games for them. This term, mainly due to injuries, he suited up in only 19 regular season games, scoring eight points.
The Swede is a product of Rögle BK's organization and played for them until the end of the 2009-10 season. Other stops in his career include stints with Linköping HC, the Hershey Bears, Ak Bars Kazan and most recently, the ZSC Lions.
