After one season, Tomi Sallinen leaves EHC Kloten and joins Färjestad BK in Sweden's SHL.

The Finn signed in Kloten last September but was on short-term contracts throughout the whole season. Now, after EHC Kloten's relegation, Sallinen will move to Sweden. It will be his third SHL-team, he has already spent one year with Leksands IF (2014-2015) and one with Djurgården (2015-2016). Before that, he spent eight years in the organization of Liiga's Espoo Blues in Finland and the season prior to joining Kloten, he played in the KHL for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk and Kunlun Red Star.

Suiting up for Kloten 62 times, the 29-year-old recorded eleven goals and 15 assists. In the SHL, he has played 114 games and put up 32 goals and 43 assists so far.
