The Swiss national team's assistant was rumored to move his home country to take over his former club but will not do so.

Djugården has a new coach

Djurgården IF has announced their new head coach for next season. Barry Smith will be taking over the club from Stockholm. Swedish news outlet Expressen had initially reported that several sources told them Tommy Albelin, current assistant of Swiss national team head coach Patrick Fischer, would be the person for the job.

It appears as if that is not going to be the case. Albelin himself already denied being contacted by Djurgården when asked about the rumor by Expressen.
