Brian Gibbons moves to Sweden.

The 33-year-old American forward has put his signature under a one-year contract with the SHL's Linköping HC. "I think it's a great opportunity for me at this stage of my career," Gibbons explains in an interview on the club's website. "I've been to a few places, on a few different teams in different leagues, but never the SHL, so I'm excited to experience it."
Last season, Brian Gibbons appeared in a total of 52 games (including playoffs) for Lausanne HC, in which he recorded 35 points (eleven goals). It was his first season outside of North America.
