Both Marcus Krüger (ZSC Lions) and Daniel Brodin (HC Fribourg-Gottéron) have played in Switzerland for the past three seasons. The current season, however, is going to be their last here.

As Djurgårdens IF confirms, they have inked their two former players to four-year contracts. "Besides being two very good hockey players, Marcus and Daniel are also two strong leaders with clear Djurgården identities," team manager Kurt Georg Stoppel says.

According to Swedish news outlet SVT, Marcus Krüger - unlike Brodin - is only going to join Djurgårdens IF if they will not be relegated this season. In the official statement of the club, however, this condition is not mentioned.

Over the course of his career, Daniel Brodin has appeared in 102 National League games so far (29 goals, 26 assists). Marcus Krüger, for his part, has played 118 games in Switzerland, in which he recorded 25 goals and 44 assists.
