Lars Johansson will not be Elvis Merzlikins' successor. The 31-year-old has signed a two-year extension with his current team CSKA Moskva.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the Swede is on top of the Bianconeri's candidate list to replace Merzlikins, who is most likely to leave towards North America. Lugano's team manager Roland Habisreutinger said they will attempt to sign an import netminder.
