As earlier reports already suggested, the 27-year-old continues his career in Belarus with the KHL's Dinamo Minsk.

Ryan Spooner moves to the KHL.

HC Lugano and Ryan Spooner have dissolved their contract in mutual agreement. The Canadian forward will thus leave the Ticino with immediate effect and join his new team, Dinamo Minsk.

Because the 27-year-old did not fit into the tactical system of coach Sami Kapanen, the club decided to let him go. "At this point, it didn't seem right to block his career," team manager Hnat Domenichelli explains. "Ryan has always behaved professionally."

During his time with Lugano, Ryan Spooner appeared in only two games at the beginning of the season, in which he contributed one assist. Since then, the former NHL-forward has been a healthy scratch.
