(RUS) KHL

As anticipated earlier this year, the Swiss forward will no longer suit up for the KHL-team. He is likely to return home.

From Russia with no love: Sven Andrighetto

Sven Andrighetto and Avangard have agreed to part ways. The 27-year-old would still have been under contract for another year. With Avangard's financial situation and the club not being too pleased by Andrighetto's performance compared to his salary, it was expected that this relation would probably not survive the summer.

It is not yet known what the future holds for the Swiss forward. There is interest from Switzerland. It seems as the ZSC Lions, EV Zug and Lausanne HC all have a good shot at signing Andrighetto, Blick writes. "There are many indications that I will sign with a Swiss club in the next few days", he is quoted by the newspaper. "I am looking forward to a commitment in the National League."

On the website of Le Matin, Grégory Beaud (Sport-Center) reports the words of an undisclosed team manager who apparently heard that Lausanne HC is pushing hard in the race for Andrighetto: "From what I hear, the LHC made an offer for four years with a lot of money". Petr Svoboda, Director of Hockey Operations of the club, does not want to comment on the situation: "Out of respect for the player, I don't make any comments. It wouldn't be right to talk about players that aren't under contract with Lausanne HC" he tells the same source.

In the 62 games for Omsk during his first season in Russia, Andrighetto recorded 13 goals and 16 assists.
