(RUS) KHL

It has been clear since April that the Slovakian forward would make use of the out clause in his contract with Leksands IF.

At the time, there were reports that Cehlárik would either head to Switzerland or to the KHL. Blick reported two weeks ago that Lausanne HC was one of the teams interested in him.

However, Cehlárik has now decided to sign with Avangard Omsk. The forward has played in the SHL, NHL, and the AHL, but it will be the first time he will suit up for a KHL team. Last season, he recorded 20 goals and 21 assists in 40 games for Leksands IF.
