(AUT) ICE Hockey League

This week, the 33-year-old Canadian-American announced his retirement from professional hockey after spending the 2020-21 season in Austria with EC Salzburg.

Taylor Chorney - Over and out!

The former Washington Capitals defender joined the Bianconeri after the 2017-18 season, for which he suited up in a total of 94 games (six goals, 32 assists) before leaving the shores of lake Lugano and Switzerland again last summer to continue his career with Austria's EC Salzburg in the ICE Hockey League.

"It has been a heck of a journey over the last 13 years," Chorney wrote on his Instagram account. "Hockey has always been at the front of my mind but with some time now to reflect, the friendships and experiences along the way are what I will cherish the most. Thanks to everyone I’ve had the pleasure of ‘working’ with along the way."
