The 56-year-old Swiss Canadian will take over the team from former EHC Kloten coach Pekka Tirkkonen, who was recently released of his duties by the DEL team.

It will be the first time in his career that Kossmann will coach outside of Switzerland. Last season, he won the championship with the Lions. However, it had already been clear that he would not stay with the National League team, as they had already signed Serge Aubin for the 2018-19 season.
