The former head coach of the ZSC Lions has found a new job: The 44-year-old will move to the DEL and take over in Berlin.

Serge Aubin has found a new job.

With the Eisbären Berlin, the Canadian has signed a two-year contract. "Strong leadership qualities, good communication and offensive, successful ice hockey were at the top of our criteria," Berlin's team manager Stéphane Richer says. "Serge has experience in the DEL, is good at working with young players and knows exactly what he's doing behind the bench."

The ZSC Lions have fired Serge Aubin and his assistant coach Craig Streu in mid-January as they did not see any "sustainable progress". Arno Del Curto stepped in for Aubin but was not able to lead the team into the playoffs.
