The 25-year-old winger is suffering from a torn muscle in his hand and thus will be sidelined fur up to three weeks, Radio RTN reports. McFarland sustained the injury in yesterday's Cup game against EHC Visp (3-2 loss).
The Canadian has managed to put up two goals and one assist in a total of three games for HCC this term thus far.
