The defender took a hit by Munich's Patrick Hager and had to be helped off the ice. He was not able to resume playing and was brought to the hospital for further medical examinations. The severity of his injury is not yet known. SC Bern won the Round of 16 series against the Germans with 7-5 on aggregate.
