The 28-year-old forward, who figures on Switzerland's roster for the Olympic Games, fractured his metatarsal bone in a CHL game against the Växjö Lakers at the beginning of December and has been out ever since.
He was expected to be out for six weeks at the most but his recovery took longer than anticipated. In 27 games for the Bears this season, he recorded eight goals and 19 assists.
