The 33-year-old winger sustained an injury after a knee to knee collision with Visp's Jens Nater in the third minute of play and was not able to continue playing. The exact nature and severity of his injury, however, has yet to be determined.

Tschannen has managed to put up 21 goals and 36 assists in 43 games for SCL since season start, which made him the fourth-best scorer of the entire Swiss League at the end of the 2017-18 regular season.
