Forwards Damien Brunner (photo) and Dario Bürgler, as well as defenseman Alessandro Chiesa all sustained serious injuries in Saturday's clash with HC Davos, which will keep them away from the ice rink for the remainder of the season.
While captain Chiesa suffered a rupture of his Achilles tendon and will undergo surgery today, Bürgler is dealing with a torn muscle fiber in his right chest. He will consult with specialists in the coming days to determine a date of surgery.
As for Brunner, who reportedly broke his left leg at the end of the first period, a more precise diagnosis of his serious leg injury will be announced in the course of tomorrow after further medical examination, the club informs.
