The 23-year-old goalie suffered a minor injury in a training session last week and was not able to suit up in Saturday's game against Lausanne HC. In his stead, Damiano Ciaccio minded the Tigers' net and was able to celebrate a 5-4 victory in the first game of this year's Ranking Round.
For the second game tomorrow against EHC Kloten, Punnenovs might be able to return to game action, the Berner Zeitung writes. In this game, the SCL Tigers could already secure their place in the National League. For that they need a regulation-win and HC Ambrì-Piotta has to lose against Lausanne HC after 60 minutes.
