The 33-year-old winger suffers from a severe lung contusion and is currently under medical care in the hospital, the club informs. Due to the severity of his injury, he is not expected to hit the ice again this season.
Micflikier, whose contract is set to expire, suited up in a total of 41 regular season games (15 goals, 17 assists) as well as eight playoff games (five goals, one assist) for the Seelanders this term.
