As HC La Chaux-de-Fonds' head coach Serge Pelletier told Radio RTN during their first on-ice training session on Thursday, Raphaël Erb sustained a serious knee injury. Today, the club announces that the 26-year-old will undergo surgery in a couple of days and will miss the entire upcoming season. Team Manager Loïc Burkhalter is looking for a replacement.
Erb is a homegrown talent of HCC and made his debut for their Swiss League team in the 2008-09 season. Last season, the 26-year-old appeared in 34 games, in which he recorded seven points (one goal).
