The 32-year-old American forward has been sidelined with a left ankle distortion since mid-August. Thus far, he suited up in only one preseason game with the Biancoblù, against the HCB Ticino Rockets on August 11.
Lerg joined HC Ambrì-Piotta on a one-year deal from SHL's Rögle BK in mid-July this year. For the Swedish team, he managed to put up 19 goals and eleven assists in a total of 52 games last season.
