According to journalist Roman Michel (Die Südostschweiz), the Finnish forward is currently banged up but is expected to be good to go for Friday's season opener in Lugano.

Sandell joined HC Davos from Liiga's Ilves Tampere in mid-July first on a tryout basis, before he was signed to a one-year deal by the club one month later.
