As Le Matin writes, the former NHL forward took a puck to his face and suffered a broken jaw. He was brought back to Geneva during the game and will undergo surgery on Monday.

Due to Wingels' absence, Chris McSorley is likely to look for another import player as replacement. Genève-Servette HC is currently down to three imports.

The 30-year-old forward suited up for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Boston Bruins last season, putting up a total of seven goals and eight assists in 79 games.
