Injury update on HC Lugano's Wellinger and Haussener

Wellinger had to leave yesterday's game following a check from SC Bern's Tristan Scherwey halfway through the first period. Contrary to some media reports, he is not suffering from a hand injury but a trauma of the cervical spine. A detailed diagnosis will follow in the coming days.

HC Lugano's forward Timo Haussener, on the other hand, sustained a broken nasal septum in Tuesday's game with the HCB Ticino Rockets on the road in Zug. He will be sidelined for about two weeks.
