Medical Report

Due to his knee injury needing surgery, the Canadian will not be able to suit up anymore this season.

Lance Bouma's injury is worse than expected

Initially, the Genève-Servette HC-forward was only supposed to be out for a short time. However, as Le Matin reports, it turned out that the 28-year-old has to undergo surgery on his knee. This will keep him off the ice for the remainder of the season, after only three games with the Grenats.

"It doesn't look very good for Lance's continuation this season, but will talk to our doctors again to get a final verification and probably go ahead and make the announcement early next week," Chris McSorley told MySports after the game against HC Ambrì-Piotta.

It has already been reported that Servette is looking for additional import players due to Bouma's and Tommy Wingels' injuries. This turn of events will only enforce Chris McSorley's efforts. As the head coach tells MySports, they expect to make an announcement regarding their new player(s) within the next two days.
