HC Ajoie's Konstantin Schmidt might return by mid-November

Schmidt has yet to play a single game this season. He underwent a hernia operation this summer but the doctors touched a ligament during the procedure which in turn then led the forward to experience pain in his adductors.

According to Vincent Léchenne, he had been almost fully practicing last week but then, in a stroke of bad luck, stepped on a stick and is now once again dealing with adductor problems.

This, of course, does not help his chances to get a contract extension. In his third season with HC Ajoie now, he has missed almost half of the games he was supposed to play due to injuries.
