In the game between HC Fribourg-Gottéron and Genève-Servette HC, Fransson crashed into the boards after an incident with Julien Sprunger. The defenseman was unable to return to the ice.

As the Tribune du Genève now writes, the 33-year-old Swede has possibly sustained a concussion and an additional upper-body injury during that sequence. He underwent medical examinations on Monday morning and might not be able to play for a few weeks.

The same source also reports that Noah Rod had a relapse of his lower-body injury after being in the lineup for three games, and will be sidelined. He rejoins the Grenats' infirmary, alongside Gauthier Descloux, Cody Almond, Henrik Tömmernes, Lance Bouma and the above mentioned Fransson. On a more positive note, Juraj Simek and John Fritsche are ready to go again.
