Lausanne HC's Canadian top scorer Dustin Jeffrey sustained a lower-body injury in Wednesday's game against Biel and did not return to the ice for the third period. "All I can tell you is that he does have a physical problem, but there's not much to worry about. He should be back sooner or later," LHC's coach Ville Peltonen told Grégory Beaud (Sport-Center).

As for Yannick Herren, who is recovering from a knee-injury sustained in mid-November, the 27-year-old left winger is close to a return. "I hope so, but the coach will make the decision," Herren told the same source when asked about the possibility of making a comeback in Friday's road game in Fribourg.

Still out and not available are netminder Luca Boltshauser (knee) as well as Swedish defenseman Jonas Junland (clavicule fracture).
