Philippe Furrer left Saturday's game early due to a rib injury. There was no fracture and he was able to leave the hospital on Sunday but was to undergo further exams today. As his team, HC Fribourg-Gottéron, now announces, the 33-year-old will be sidelined indefinitely and might not be able to play anymore for the remainder of the season. In October, he already suffered from a rib injury similar to the current one.

The defenceman suited up 25 times this season, his first with the Dragons, recording seven assists.

As short-term replacement for the upcoming weekend-games, Dan Weisskopf will again join HC Ajoie via B-licence.
