Medical Report

As the Luzerner Zeitung reports, the 33-year-old was seen training with the rest of the team, therefore he should be able to suit up on Saturday.

Raphael Diaz is a key player for EV Zug.

The Swiss defenseman played only five minutes against HC Fribourg-Gottéron before leaving the game with an injury. As it usually happens with the playoffs approaching, EV Zug did not communicate anything about the nature or the severity of Diaz's injury. EV Zug will face HC Lugano in the playoff quarterfinals.

Raphael Diaz, who was recently named "best defenseman of the 2018-19 season" by a survey among captains and coaches of the National League clubs, has been playing one of the best seasons in his career: he reached 31 points (twelve goals and 19 assists) for only the third time, and his twelve goals matched his previous best mark, set in the 2010-11 season, before leaving for the NHL.
