According to the Freiburger Nachrichten, Samuel Walser left the game against SaiPa Lappeenranta in the first period due to knee problems. He was not able to resume playing.

Walser is currently in his second season with HC Fribourg-Gottéron. The former HC Davos player recorded three goals and 16 assists in 50 games for the Dragons last season.
