Mark Van Guilder is dealing with a foot injury and will be out of EHC Visp's lineup for three weeks. He will thus miss the start of the season. The Swiss League team will try to find a replacement for the American.

Mark Van Guilder captained EHC Visp last season, recording 18 goals and 38 assists in 44 games for them. This will be his third season with the Swiss League team.
