Medical Report

Back in Switzerland, a second medical examination confirmed that EHC Biel's forward has suffered a fracture in his wrist.

Out for three months: Damien Brunner.

As a consequence, Damien Brunner has to undergo surgery and will definitely be out for about three months, the Journal du Jura writes. The 33-year-old suffered the injury in EHC Biel's game against the Norwegian team Frisk Asker in the Champions Hockey League.

With Jason Fuchs, a second forward got injured in their first games of the CHL. "We lost two very important players," the Seelanders' CEO Daniel Villard says to the same source. "It's a very expensive price for four CHL-games. Now we are looking for solutions."

Part of the solution - at least for now - is Ramon Tanner. The 20-year-old forward will suit up with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds in tonight's first round of the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup. Then, he will return to Biel for the season opener on Friday against HC Fribourg-Gottéron.
