According to ZSC's team manager Sven Leuenberger, reported by the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, the nature and severity of Blindenbacher's injury will be known by the beginning of next week.

The 36-year-old defenseman is currently playing his fourteenth season with the Lions. In 2018-19, due to several injury-related absences, he appeared in a total of only 30 games (four assists).
