This weekend, the puck drops again in the QMJHL, one of the three top junior leagues in Canada. Swiss defenseman David Aebischer, however, will miss the start of the season due to a lower-body injury, the Gatineau Olympiques announce. Aebischer will be sidelined for four to six weeks.

The 18-year-old defender has been playing in the QMJHL since 2018. In his first season overseas, the former youth player of HC Fribourg-Gottéron, appeared in 64 games, in which he recorded 31 points (four goals).
