Nils Berger was dealing with adductor problems and has yet to play a single regular-season game this season. Mark Van Guilder, too, missed the start of the season due to a foot injury he sustained in a preseason game against the Dornbirn Bulldogs.

Asked whether EHC Visp will keep Michael Keränen, who was signed as an injury replacement for Van Guilder, head coach Matti Alatalo only had this to say: "His contract runs until the beginning of October." The Finn recorded one goal and one assist in three games.
