Dominik Kodras, Jiří Novotný's athletic coach, announced that the foward is ready to hit the ice again for practice with HC Ambrì-Piotta. After an absence of about three months, the Czech is looking to get back into game shape again.

At the beginning of July, the Biancoblù announced that the 36-year-old had suffered an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee and would be out sidelined for about four months.
